Home Field Advantage (Pastor Vann Trapp)
Sunday Nov 19, 2023

So, where is this battle fought? On our knees. In prayer. In praise and worship. Prayer is where we enter the fray and speak with confidence about our victory. This is where we bind the evil one. This is where we claim God’s victory for those bound in chains of deceit, fear, and shame. Prayer is the power that God has given us. We suit up, and we pray.

On Good Authority (Pastor Vann Trapp)
Sunday Nov 12, 2023
Sunday Nov 12, 2023
God has commissioned us to do His business in this world in Jesus’ name. But what is the sign that we have the authority to do that? What is the proof of that commission? The word of God. But not just the act of quoting verses from the Bible. Instead, when we speak God’s Word straight from scripture or out of the wisdom of His Spirit for the circumstance, He backs it up. Those words become divinely powerful for tearing down spiritual strongholds, breaking through spiritual darkness, and defeating enemies far stronger and more numerous than we. By the power of the Spirit, the words we speak in Jesus’ name into and over people’s lives become effective. And He wants us to use those words to speak into all kinds of situations.

Standout (Pastor Vann Trapp)

A helmet on a battlefield always gives away which side you’re on. The team helmet of God’s army is salvation: the events and evidence that we have been - and are - being saved from the defeat and destruction of this world and the enemy. It can be seen in our inner transformation, in outer signs and wonders, in healings, in miracles, and in wisdom that is beyond us. If we choose to take up the helmet of the fullness of God’s salvation, we will no longer blend in on the battlefield of this spiritual war. He will make His victory known to all the world and even the powers and authorities in the heavenly places through us!

Faith in the Bible is not just talking about our belief in something. Faith is primarily talking about the faithfulness of the one we believe in. When we give ourselves to God’s truth, pursuing just and right living with His people, and the confidence of who He says we are, we are protected, not by how hard we believe, but the God who rises up and fights for His own! Psalm 91 tells us that He surrounds us as a shield and a bulwark.

Find Your Footing (Pastor Vann Trapp)
Sunday Oct 08, 2023
Sunday Oct 08, 2023
One of the reasons that the enemy wants us to doubt our good standing with God (peace) that is ours because of Jesus, is that when we doubt, we are unsteady, unsure, and unconfident. We will not push forward if we have lost our footing of who we truly are. But when we do have our confidence in Jesus, we are unstoppable in Him.

Sunday Oct 01, 2023
What does it require of us to do right by God and others? Is it just some arbitrary list of dos and don’ts? Or is there more to righteousness than initially meets the eye? What does God have to say about what it means to be good and to be in good company?

Buckle Up (Pastor Vann Trapp)

How many times have we heard it said, or maybe even said it ourselves, "That's your truth, not mine." And it is true, we all see truth differently at times. But does that mean that every approach to truth is equal? Jesus seemed to imply that there was only one truth framework that truly led to freedom, one true path that led to life, and only one true God who could rescue us from all the deception and wrong thinking that can really get us into trouble at times. That's why Ephesians tells us to buckle up with the belt of truth - God's truth.

An Unseen World (Pastor Vann Trapp)
Sunday Sep 17, 2023
Sunday Sep 17, 2023
We live in two worlds simultaneously: one physical, the other spiritual. The one is filled with physical beings and objects that we understand well and navigate with our five senses and “common sense.” The other is filled with spiritual beings and realities and has a war raging every moment of every day. But often, we haven’t taken the time to train our spiritual senses or godly wisdom to the same degree that we have our physical senses. So, we are blindsided spiritually. We need to be aware of this spiritual world and our place in it in Christ.
